Pricing & Costing Models

QBIS Project is a powerful tool for aiding project managers to measure the true result on their projects.  Whether the project is based on a fixed price or a running hourly rate, includes materials and expenses or not, QBIS Project offers a  comprehensive yet simple way for measuring the cost and the price for each individual project.

Tailor you project to suit your business

Project managers have the possibility to apply pricing and costing models to their projects. This functionality is optional for each project and is set by the project manager depending how they want to measure their project. Each project can be priced and costed according to nature of the project. The project manager has the follow possibilities

  • Measure projects according to time budgets and actual reported time
  • Measure projects according to a pricing model
  • Measure projects according to a costing model
The project manager can set the price and cost of a project using 1 of 4 different levels, these include:
  • Project Level
  • Resource Level
  • Activity Level
  • Activity Resource Level

Centralised Management of Cost and Prices for Resources

QBIS has a central area where you can set default costs and prices for each individual employee (resource member) within your organisation.  If you normally calculate the cost and price of your projects based on your employees or external consultants, then you can easily maintain these hourly values in one central administrative location. When you create a new project then you can select to have these values loaded automatically when you add team members to your project.
